How To Become a Member
Those individuals or ministries that share the following convictions are welcome to apply to be members of the GO Network:
- Salvation is a free gift of God through Christ Jesus.
- The Scriptures of the Old and the New Testament as the written Word of God and the only rule and norm of faith and of practice;
- All the Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God, to wit: the three Ecumenical Creeds (the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, the Large Catechism of Luther, the Small Catechism of Luther, and the Formula of Concord.
- The CORE VALUES of the Network will guide and inform our collaborations, conversations, and care for one another.
- As a Member of the Go Network, you will be encouraged to:
A. Pray regularly:
-
- For mission opportunities in their personal life and through their ministries.
- For the new workers and those who are participating in training.
B. Develop one or more of the following progress targets:
-
- Every person living on mission
- Every disciple making disciples
- Every leader raising up leaders
- Every congregation being a vibrant and faithful expression of Christ's presence to its community
- Every congregation birthing new congregations or ministries
- Everyone collaborating with those willing to pursue the same mission
C. Participate in:
-
- A Local: 2-10 peers who meet at least monthly, either in person or virtually, to deepen relationships and to support, encourage, train, mentor, and hold each other accountable as they take their next steps in mission, ministry, and multiplication. A Local might be organized by the GO Network, or it might be a mission/revitalization group that is available in your area. It could be your Circuit. The point of the Local is to meet regularly to pray and plan for greater ministry health and increased mission activity.
- Regional/Affinity, 2-10 Locals connected by region or affinity (such as church planting, rural, urban, large church, etc.) who meet regularly, either in person or virtually, to share resources, support, training, and mentoring as they take their next steps in mission, ministry, and multiplication.
D. Providing information and links to resources from your organization that can be used by others to advance the mission of Christ.
- We invite those individuals who wish to partner with the GO Network to consider providing the following assistance:
-
- Sign up to be a facilitator in one of the locals that will be formed after February.
- Sign up to assist in planning and implementing the regional gathering.
- Become a financial supporter of the GO Network. The GO Network is dedicated to operating efficiently. However, resources are necessary to fund the regional and national events, as well as the infrastructure that fosters collaboration. Currently, all contributions are being accepted through The Center.info.
